Bible affirmations are powerful tools that can be used by you to help you live your best life possible. Living to your purpose is the definition of living your best life possible. Don’t stress over finding your purpose, it will come naturally if you follow your dreams of what God has put on your heart.
You were gifted with unique talents that will assist you with living to your purpose. These powerful bible affirmations are here to remind you of your ability to fulfil your mission here on earth. You will meet challenges, you will overcome obstacles, and these affirmations will remind you not only that you can do it, but also that you are not alone.
The biggest obstacle to living to your purpose is fear and belief that you are not good enough. Any time thoughts like these enter your mind, use these bible affirmations to dissipate them and move ahead. You were created for your life because you are strong enough to live it.
Let us take a brief look at what is a bible affirmation. It is God’s truth that is written in the bible.
These powerful biblical affirmations are God’s promises to you. They remind you of your worth as a child of God and eliminate the negative self-talk.
God’s word a.k.a. the bible continues to remind us about the power of words, and how they can influence our lives.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. -Proverbs 18:21
Positive affirmations you say to yourself are the life bringing power of your tongue.
Type of affirmation you use makes a difference. You can say things you don’t believe yourself, and they will do you no good, even if the things you say are positive.
These biblical affirmations are extra powerful because they are based on the word of God. You should know that you are who God says you are. You are His child, and as a loving parent he wants to remind you that you are worthy of a happy and a fulfilling life.
So, what are bible affirmations? They are truths derived from bible verses. Use the ones provided below or create your own powerful affirmations as you go through your own bible reading journey.
Using these affirmations will make a positive impact on your life.
God wants what is in your best interest. As a loving parent He wants you to live your best life possible. He created you to be uniquely you and to love life, love people, and love yourself.
Loving yourself does not mean being selfish, on the contrary, by loving yourself you are letting go of all the insecurities that were put on you by the society. Without these insecurities you will stop judging yourself and people around you. You will start focusing on things that are truly important, and that is your relationship with God.
Insecurities are blemishes that are put on you by the society. They make you feel inferior and not good enough. Society here is defined as both religious and non religious. Humans are humans no matter what label we choose to wear, and therefore no human is perfect or has all the answers.
Society and the world do not always have your best interest in heart. Marketers are very quick to point out what you are lacking in your life. Making you look at the life from the point of lack, not abundance. Society in general is very quick to point out what you should do and say. Here are some messages from society versus what God says to you through the bible.
You are unlovable until you do or buy x y and z vs. You are loved for who you are
The past defines your future vs. Your past is forgiven, move on!
You are a nobody until you prove yourself vs. You are the Child of a King!
You are fat, ugly, or have no style vs. You are a Masterpiece created in the image of God!
You should fear everything vs. You are strong and with God will overcome all fears!
By practicing positive biblical affirmations, you will develop a sound mind and see positive outcomes based on faithful promises that God has given you through His word. You will develop a positive mindset and live an abundant life. This abundance will come from your changed mindset, you will begin to notice all of the positive things and blessings around you.
P. S. No one has the authority to tell you how you should live. That is between you and God. Stop listening to societal expectations, following religious rituals and traditions. Search for the meaning behind these acts. Start developing your relationship with God, understand that in the end it will be you and you alone standing in front of Him. Let that meeting be that of best friends not of strangers.
There are no set rules for how you should practice affirmations. This practice should be created to your own preference. Set your own ‘right’ time of the day and make it a part of your daily routine. We will review the different ways of practicing affirmations. You are free to select any one of these or create your own.
Using index cards, write the bible verse on one side and your personal affirmation on the alternate side. Start small. By doing this regularly, you will be able to compile a large list of great affirmations.
Likewise, you can print out your affirmations on the index cards or cardstock. Be as creative as you want to be. Feel free to add images to the cards for a greater impact.
Then on daily basis, either in the morning or in the evening select a few cards, read them, and commit them to memory. They will be your reminders of God’s love for you.
Another great way to commit these bible verses to memory is to use images. If you have the talent, create drawings that will speak to you. Otherwise, search the internet for images. Using images is the best way to represent how you see the verses from your personal perspective.
Find or create your own quotes and put them on a vision board. Review these images with quotes and affirmations on regular basis. God’s love for you is shown all through the bible, reviewing these truths will aid your spiritual growth and will bring you closer to God.
Daily affirmations will remove your negative thoughts and will have you focus on positive things.
Find inspiring images and print them out. Add them to your vision board. Review it on daily basis for inspiration. Vision boards can be on large poster boards or a part of your journal. Our Effluo Quarterly Planners provide space for creating your personal vision boards.
Don’t be your own worst enemy. Take the time to listen to what God has to tell you. He truly does have your best interest in mind.
Finally, keep it simple. You do not need to overcomplicate the process, nor do you need a huge list to begin with. Write down affirmations in a journal. Again, our Effluo Quarterly Planner has space dedicated just for affirmations, no fluff. As you find a bible verse that speaks to you, write it down along with the affirmation. Do not worry about the quantity. This list will grow with time.
I will encourage people around me
Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! – Proverbs 15:23
I am fearless
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” – Psalm 91:1-2
In review of the great historical figures, it is difficult to overlook two great leaders that lived over three thousand years ago yet remain well known to this day. They lived from 1000 to 900 BCE, but their lives and their writings remain very influential. They transcend religions. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all attest to their greatness. These two individuals of old are King David and his son and successor King Solomon.
Both king David and Solomon left a significant impact on history and culture worldwide. They not only wrote books of the bible but have shown themselves to be very capable leaders.
The two however, the father and the son, lived very different lives. One was a warrior king who build his kingdom using power and cunning. The other was a king who developed his kingdom using wisdom and diplomacy. Again, proving that there are no absolutes as to how one should live their life.
They wrote different books within the bible and Tanakh and the following quotes will be derived from two separate books. One is the book of Psalms believed to be authored mainly by David and the second from book of Proverbs believed to be authored mainly by Solomon. Both are great, but like their lives, their writing styles were very different. Do not be surprised if you relate to one more than other, that is the whole intent of including multiple writings within one collection of books called the bible.
Since David was a warrior king and his life was constantly hanging in a balance, his writings spoke more to the strength that he received from God rather than his personal achievements. He focused on God’s support of humanity and all the things that God gives us and does for us. When looking at these verses and creating affirmations from them, it is easy to begin with ‘I am’. The following affirmations jump out from the book of Psalms: I am loved, I am safe and protected.
Solomon, on the other hand, built his kingdom using wisdom, knowledge, and diplomacy. He wrote a book on the importance of wisdom, Proverbs. When reading the book of Proverbs, you learn what you should strive to be and become better, wiser, smarter. Therefore, the statement of ‘I will’ seems to be the most appropriate one. Statements of ‘I will encourage people around me’ and ‘I will seek wisdom’ become the voice of the book of Proverbs.
God’s wisdom is reflected in both books. All of the following scriptural affirmations will help you focus on biblical truths and direct your inner thoughts towards success in whatever you set to achieve. Do not underestimate the mighty power of God’s word. Give it a test run and be ready to be amazed and achieve success in all that you do.
